Andrew Haschka, Director, Cloud Platforms VMware Asia Pacific & Japan
Andrew Haschka leads the Asia Pacific & Japan team responsible for delivering on the Cloud Platforms vision: to be the market-leading platform for hybrid universal clouds that enable our customers to gain a competitive edge as a digital business. Specifically, this portfolio is responsible for the vSphere and vSOM products.
Andrew brings more than 15 years of experience in the software, infrastructure and services industries to his role at VMware. He has been at VMware since 2014 managing a team of consultants in the Professional Services team, building GTMs with key Systems Integrators and Outsourcers, accelerating the Cloud Management business for APJ and more recently focusing on the Data Centre Virtualisation portfolio to deliver value to customers, both technically and at a business engagement level.
Andrew has been focused on Business and Enterprise vision for many years and is certified in both TOGAF and Zachman architecture frameworks. He is keen to ensure business objectives are met before technology solutions are proposed.
Bernard Kwok, President, VMware Greater China
Bernard Kwok is VMware's President of Greater China and responsible for VMware business in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Prior to VMware, Bernard Kwok served as the Technology/Investment Executive of East Rock Investments Limited. Before that, Bernard Kwok worked as the Senior Vice President and President of Asia Pacific & Japan of Symantec for 9 and a half years, and was responsible for sales and business development in more than 17 countries and regions. Bernard led and managed the overall business of Symantec in Asia Pacific and Japan.
In addition to the above jobs as investment and business consultant and the leadership position of Symantec in Asia Pacific and Japan, Bernard was also one of members in the board of directors at the following companies and associations in the past few years:
Bernard joined Symantec after it merged with VERITAS. He served as president of Symantec in Greater China and was responsible for strategy, operation and management in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Leveraging the great potentials of the China market, he improved the sales performance and services in utility computing solutions and key storage management software products.
Before joining VERITAS, Bernard served as President and CEO in Fujitsu (China) Co., Ltd. Based in China, he was responsible for the strategy and operations of Fujitsu in mainland China and Hong Kong. He achieved the great business growth in short time and merged 5 companies into Fujitsu (China) Co., Ltd..
Prior to Fujitsu, Bernard was the president of Greater China at EMC, and helped EMC to be the leader in Chinese data storage market with considerable market shares and profits.
In addition, Bernard has many years of work experiences in Greater China. He once worked in 3COM (Asia) Limited, Nortel Networks Limited (the United States and Greater China), Alcatel (USA) and other MNCs as senior executive. In Nortel, he led the team to establish strong business foundation in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and contribute to lots of recognized deals by the region and high-speed business growth.
Bernard Kwok graduated from University of Nevada-Reno, with Bachelor Degree of BSEE and Master Degree of MBA.
Bruce Davie, CTO, VMware Asia Pacific & Japan
Bruce Davie has been recently appointed as the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Asia Pacific and Japan business. Bruce leads VMware APJ’s technical and engineering community, driving strategic customer engagement, technical innovation and product quality to enable digital transformation.
Bruce has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to his current role, he was the CTO for Networking at VMware, and a Principal Engineer in the Networking and Security BU. He joined VMware as part of the Nicira acquisition in 2012.
Having led the global networking technology team, Bruce has rich experience as a leader, innovator and technologist. He was a Cisco Fellow prior to joining Nicira. At Cisco, he worked closely with leading service providers to enhance the capabilities of their networks. He led the team that developed multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) and contributed to the standards on IP quality of service. Bruce has written over a dozen Internet RFCs and several networking textbooks, taught networking classes at M.I.T., and holds 30 U.S. patents. Bruce received his Ph. D. in computer science from the University of Edinburgh in 1988 and is an ACM Fellow. He is originally from Melbourne, Australia and holds a B.E. from Melbourne University.
Callum Eade, Vice President, SDDC, VMware Asia Pacific & Japan
Based in Singapore, Callum joined VMware in September of 2015 as Senior Director SDDC and Federation Sales and Services GTM APJ (Asia Pacific Japan). He is now Vice President, responsible for VMWare’s SDDC portfolio covering APJ.
Born and educated in New Zealand, Callum is a 20 Year IT Veteran, with his employment experience spanning Channel, Sales and Leadership roles throughout Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining VMware, Callum was most recently with Citrix, responsible for the vendors’ Korean business. Prior to 6 years at Citrix Callum came from an IT hardware background, working with Lenovo and Toshiba in the Australia and New Zealand markets. His roles included New Zealand Country Manager for Toshiba followed by ANZ Channel Director for both Toshiba and Lenovo.
Callum holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Lincoln University in New Zealand. He has also competed in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii and in September of 2018 qualified and competed in the Half Ironman World Championships in Australia.
Craig Dobson, Vice President, Professional Services, VMware Asia Pacific & Japan
In his role as Vice President of Professional Services for Asia, Pacific and Japan, Craig leads a Professional Services team of VMware experts to help CIOs and their companies accelerate IT and business transformation leveraging VMware technology and deepen the understanding of how cloud computing can deliver business results.
Craig has 26 years’ experience within the IT industry from solution architecture to managing businesses delivering large infrastructure related international teams & projects.
For the last seven years, Craig has been championing Digital Transformation focused on End User, Data Centre and the Cloud, cementing VMware as the leader in the Australia, Pacific and Japan market.
Prior to VMware, Craig has worked for HP, Compaq, Fujitsu, MTC.
Before moving to Australia, he worked in the UK and Zimbabwe.

David Wakeman, Senior Director, End User Computing Sales, VMware Asia Pacific & Japan
David Wakeman has spent over fifteen years in desktop IT extending from PC, server based computing, desktop virtualisation to mobile.
As an early evangelist of virtual desktop and mobility David now focuses of helping organisations adopt new Mobile / Cloud solutions to solve the challenges in modern desktop, application and mobile delivery.
With a background in technology and business systems and an extensive background at VMware across EUC product portfolios, David works to set technology strategy and product functionality that meet the needs of markets in Asia Pacific and Japan.
David currently leads the EUC Centre of Excellence across Asia Pacific and Japan and the Mobility Technology team in Asia.
Deckard Cheung, Cloud Specialist, VMware Hong Kong & Macau
Deckard Cheung is the subject matter expert of VMware Cloud Services and Cloud Management Platform (CMP), engaging in customer presentation, workshop and building use cases to ensure the right solution resolves customer business-critical issues on cloud.
Being a technology evangelist, he actively engages in enabling partners and communicating with customers on VMware long term multi-cloud strategy and the core values to customer cloud journey.
Prior to joining VMware, Deckard worked to architect and evangelize VMware based public cloud services, managed hosting and Microsoft cloud services include Azure and O365.
Eric Ng, Senior Solution Architect, VMware Hong Kong & Macau
As a Senior System Engineer at VMware, Eric Ng is the technical leader in the software defined network (SDDC) and data center security. He provides technical leadership to the key stakeholder of VMware’s service providers and enterprise customers in the region. Eric currently holds 7 CCIE (Data Center, Wireless, R&S, SP, Security, Voice and SAN). He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Master of Engineering degree.
Gopesh Maindola, Consulting Engineer, Palo Alto Networks
Gopesh Maindola is the Consulting Engineer – Asia Pacific (APAC) at Palo Alto Networks. He is based out of Singapore and is responsible for supporting both direct and indirect selling resources for Palo Alto Data Centre architectures designs, integration and use cases. His main focus is on customer engagement in the areas of Cloud, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Cloud Orchestration. Gopesh is a Solution Architect and Technology Consultant having over 16 years of experience across various different areas of Data Centers, Cloud, Networking & Security, in a variety of high impact roles including TAC, Pre Sales and Solution Architect. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, he was with Brocade as Data Centre Architect for India and the SAARC region. In the past, he has worked with Juniper and Cisco.

James is an experienced IT professional with over 20 years of experience in business development and product management/marketing within the IT, Computer and Cloud practices market across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
He has worked in countries like Singapore, US and with the last 10 years in Australia.
James has strong background in Desktop/Server/Network virtualization, Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM), Unified Communications, Cloud-based/Hosted services and IOT (Internet of Things) He has good cross cultural and business understanding and have worked with global system integrators and service providers to address industry specified customers across Asia Pacific.
At VMware, James is responsible for managing the End-User Computing, Cloud Services, and the recently introduced emerging solutions of IoT, NFV and DevOps.
William Lam, Senior Cloud Architect, Masterson Technology Ltd
William comes with close to 20 years experience in IT industry, certified specialization in Unix, Linux, private cloud and public cloud technologies, focus in design of hybrid cloud, DevOps and Big Data solutions. Most recently he is the Senior Cloud Architect and Head of Presales Team for Masterson Technology Limited (since 2005) and have led major media, eCommerce and enterprise projects in the cloud & DevOps adoption journey.
Mickey Fan, Senior Business Solution Architect, VMware Hong Kong & Macau
Mickey Fan has been working in the I.T. Industry for over 20 years. During this period of time, he has concentrated on agile best practise, technology evagelism and business application development. Mr. Fan has worked as scrum master for 5 years and instructor for certified scrum master training. With solid experience on deploying cloud application on AWS, Azure and SAP Cloud, he has good understanding on how agile best practices enable business innovation in enterprise. He holds an MBA degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong and he is certified scrum master and prince 2 agile practitioner. Mr. Dean Samuels, Head of Solutions Architecture, Hong Kong and Taiwan, AWS
Dean comes from an IT infrastructure background and has extensive experience in infrastructure virtualization, orchestration and automation. Dean has been with Amazon Web Services for over five years and has had the opportunity to work with customers of all sizes and industries across the APAC and China regions. Dean now works for Amazon out of the Hong Kong office as Head of Solutions Architecture for Hong Kong and Taiwan. Sam Wu, Head of System Engineering HK & Taiwan, Veeam

Mr Toon Chwee Wee has 20 years of professional experience in information technology, including Information Security, System Network, Application Integration, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Server virtualization and Cloud technology.

Ying Li, Vice President, Strategic Projects & Transformation, VMware Great China
Dr. Ying Li is VMware Vice President, Strategic Projects & Transformation of Great China and responsible for the developing and implementing mid & long-term technical strategic initiatives for VMware Great China. He works closely with VMware Great China team to offer the innovated products and solutions for China customers.
Prior to this responsibility, Dr Li was VMware Vice President and managing director of VMware Labs Asia, working with all the Regional GMs and R&D leaders to further expand VMware innovation strategy and footprint across APJ.
Prior to that, he was the Vice President of EMC Corporation and Growth & Innovation Lead of APJ COE. He was responsible for driving local market making, academic alliance opportunities. Dr. Li was responsible for daily operation of EMC China COE, leading the center’s cloud compute R&D base, information management R&D base, global solution center and global customer support center.
